Show Notes
Every once in a while, Jason will be stepping away from the traditional interview format to share stories from nearly a decade of working with Kambo—people he met, unusual cases he witnessed, and experiences that have stayed with him throughout his years of practice.
For the first Kambo Story Time, Jason shares the story of Solomon Page, a former NFL offensive lineman who played for the Dallas Cowboys.
After years of professional football and repeated concussions, Solomon's health began to deteriorate. He developed severe skin and autoimmune-type issues that eventually affected nearly every part of his daily life. His skin became so sensitive that normal clothing was difficult to tolerate. Sitting, sleeping, exercising, and many of the things he'd once taken for granted became increasingly difficult.
Eventually, after exhausting conventional medical options, Solomon says he was told there was nothing more his doctors could do and that he would have to learn to live with his condition.
He reached a point where he wasn't sure he wanted to.
His wife, Cynthia, wasn't willing to accept that answer.
Her search eventually led Solomon to a holistic practitioner in Dallas—and through her, to Jason and Kambo.
In this episode, Jason tells the story of their first session, why Solomon's breathing caused him to remove Kambo points during the treatment, the phone call he received a week later, and what unfolded over the following months.
It's also the story of what happened afterward: Solomon's eventual decision to train as a Kambo practitioner himself and the completely different direction his life took from there.

So every once in a while, we're gonna throw in a Kambo story time into these podcasts. And these stories will just be conducted by me. I'm just sitting here alone. And the reason I wanna do this is, you know, I, I had the privilege of getting to serve a lot of Kambo sessions very early into my practice. It was pretty new back then. It's about probably close to a decade ago. So Kambo was just kinda coming on the scene, and for a while, I was probably the only person south of New Mexico serving Kambo. So I got to see a lot early on, and I wanna share some of those things that I've seen. So, you know, the Kambo story we're going to tell today is about Solomon Page.
And it's even a bit of a story of how I even came across Solomon. I was starting to get busy. We were serving a lot of Kambo down between Dallas and Austin. And I came across this woman who was a holistic doctor in Dallas. She'd found me through a chiropractic friend of mine who referred a lot of people to me. And this woman, she, she had a big holistic practice in, in Dallas. She was in this corporate building, and, uh, and it was a, it was a big practice. But she herself was having problems getting her liver enzymes in check. And, uh, she had found out about me through my, my friend, and, you know, she wanted to know if, if Kambo could help her. So we started working together, and sure enough, Kambo actually got her liver back into balance, and she was so impressed, not just with what it did for her liver, but just for her overall wellbeing. And then she started
inviting me over to her house once, um, once a month just to serve her family and a couple of close friends, and everybody was having just such a great experience with just very positive outcomes coming from it. And after what Campbell had been doing for her family and her close friends, again, she was so impressed with it that she started inviting me to serve Campbell out of her practice. And it was interesting. I'd go into this big corporate building, go into this holistic doctor's office, and I'd have my own little room in the back, and I'd come out to the lobby with all the other patients and be like, "All right, who's, who's next?" You know? And but she had a few, I guess, what you would call more complicated clients that she would do a little more deeper work with outside the practice
And one of her clients was this man named Solomon Page. And Solomon Page played, um, professional football in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys back in the late nineties when the Cowboys were actually good. And he was, he was a lineman, you know, big guy, and he-- I think he played the game for about seven years. But, you know, concussions were pretty bad. And, um, he was starting to, he was starting to see some problems. And I remember he told me one time that his Western doctor had told him that every ti- every time he played the game, every game that he played was analogous to being in a head-on collision, going thirty-five miles per hour every single game, and he did that for seven years. And, you know, he, he had to get out of football. He, he could no longer sustain the intensity of it. And he just started to develop some pretty significant problems from all the concussions that he had received.
And a lot of people think that concussions just affect your cognitive ability. But the thing is, concussions affect the brain, and the brain is what impacts the entire rest of the body. And Solomon had started to develop some autoimmune-type issues, uh, skin issues. Honestly, it was the worst kinda case of psoriasis that, that I had ever seen or that I'd even ever heard of. And it kinda engulfed his whole body. He didn't have much of a quality of life. He... His skin was so sensitive to the touch. He couldn't really sit in one place for too long. He couldn't go to the gym. He couldn't even really sleep because he was always having to shift. He couldn't wear normal clothes, um, you know, because it was too just agitating to his body. And, uh, you know, and he was just, he was just in a really bad way. And it got to the point where it was, it was just getting worse and worse, and
his medical doctors couldn't do anything for him, and his NFL doctors couldn't do anything for him. And he told me that one day he walked into that office, and they just flat out told him, like: "Look, we do not know what is wrong with you. This is just something you're going to have to learn to live with." Then he said he walked out to his car And he put his hands together And he said, "Okay, God I'm ready to go You can take me home He was done. He didn't wanna be here anymore. His quality of life, he went from an NFL superstar
to not even being able to sit in one place for more than a few seconds and he was done However, his wife, Cynthia did not accept that verdict She was gonna figure it out So if the Western doctors weren't working Then you're left with holistic doctors. And she found this holistic woman that I've been working with, and she had started working with Solomon, different supplements and vitamins and, you know, and different modalities that she worked with. And then one day she tells him, "You know, I know this guy that kinda does this weird frog thing,
but I think he might be able to help you." We're having a group gathering at my house in a couple of weeks, and I'd like you to be there So me and Kelly were going to facilitate this group at this doctor's house, and we walk inside the house, and we're kind of getting a read on the room, you know, and we're just kind of meeting people for the first time. We've only communicated through email. And I look over in the corner of the room, and there's just this big man, mountain of a man. I think he was about six-six, probably about two hundred and fifty pounds, and that was after losing weight.
And he was standing there with his wife in a hospital gown. And me and Kelly kind of looked at each other, and it's like, "Well, he came ready for kambo." But then after talking to him and realizing it was Solomon, and then we realized that that gown was the only thing his skin could tolerate. So when it came time for Solomon, we decided to do him by himself. We cleared the room. We brought him in, put him on the floor, and we put, like, these pillows around him to try to get him as comfortable as we could.
And, uh, I remember I burned four gauges. And then we always start with the test point. It's just one point of kambo. For a first-time person initially, just to kind of see how they sit with it, you know, see what their tolerance is. So I burned four gauges, and we put on one dot of kambo, and I watched him for about five minutes, and he tolerated it really well. So I put on the other three gauges. And then he, you know, he probably-- we're probably about eight minutes into it. He's starting to go into the kambo flu, but his body starts getting really heavy
And he's having to lean on his elbow to kind of support himself and, and his breathing because he's such a big man, and his breathing was just starting to get really kind of condensed. He was just But at the end of the breath, he would go, "Wow Wow! And he was just so in awe of this kambo energy moving through its body And I was just, wow But his breathing was making me uncomfortable, a little too strained than what I would have preferred. And so I took one dot off and we're sitting with three, and he's still probably about fifteen minutes into it, and he's still heavy, and he's still
When I looked at Kelly, I'm like, "I still don't like it." So I took another dot off And then he started to get some of his strength back His, his, his breathing eased. He started to breathe normally again And, uh, you know, he started to sit up, and you could just tell by the look in his eyes that he'd found something different So we finished out that session, the last few minutes on those two dots and said our goodbyes. Me and Kelly came back to Colorado and about a week later
Yeah, I think it's about a week later. I get a call from Solomon. I say, "Hey, man, how you feeling?" And the first thing he says is, "When you coming back?" I says, "You must be feeling good." He goes, "I don't know what you did But Campbell's different And I said, "Well, we will be back in about four weeks." So going back this time, we decided to do the work at his house, and we did three days in a row consecutively. And by the end of that third day, I think we were sitting with probably about four or five dots comfortably. Rode the whole thing through without much problem
And, you know, we offered him a few other supplements that we work with, and then we put him on a routine of a maintenance dose about every six weeks. And within three months, Solomon was back to who he was before he played the game And he was so impacted by Campbell. About a year later, he ended up coming through Campbell's school and became a practitioner himself And since then, I think he's gone on to chiropractor school, and he just made he just made an entire life for himself
From sitting in the car asking God to come home Starting a brand new life with a brand new body I like telling that story because, you know, I, I don't wanna pretend that kambo is a miracle drug, and that, you know, whatever your ailment is, it's gonna be magically fixed by kambo because it's just not true. Not everybody has the, the same, you know, results. But there are many that do, and Solomon was just one of them All right. I hope y'all enjoyed my story. We'll be telling more of them. Y'all have a good one
